Austria pictures. Austria equally abounds in natural beauty and architectural heritage, and these pictures concentrate on the latter - to be more precise, the majestic capital city Vienna and the baroque town of Salzburg.
Wherever you look in Vienna, you almost always see the influence of the Habsburg dynasty which ruled the country for several centuries - their monuments are among the most beautiful in the lively city, for example: Schloss Schönbrunn and the imperial Viennese Habsburg palace, Hofburg.
Salzburg is a quiet little town (at least, compared to Vienna) in Western Austria with one of the best preserved baroque town centers, a huge cathedral and a castle overlooking the city.
