Helsingor

Helsingor pictures. Helsingor is a picturesque town in Denmark, north of Copenhagen. It is best known for being the locale of Shakespeare's Hamlet: its 16th century castle - the Kronborg or Elsinore Castle - is where the drama was set. It is also the closest Danish city to Sweden (the ferry ride is just 20 minutes).
Apart from these facts, its a beautiful small town of colorful Scandinavian houses, great seaside walkways and nice views across the Kattegat strait.
