Rome pictures. Italy's capital, Rome, the Eternal City mixes the modern with the ancient in an original way, and has some of Italy's most well-known monuments, including the Colosseum and St. Peter's Cathedral in the Vatican City; yet Rome's atmosphere lies at least as much in its people and ordinary streets as in the most well-known tourist attractions.
