Venice pictures. Italy's Venice (often called the Queen of the Adriatic) is an unbelievable mix of land and water, strait alleys and wide canals, bridges and islands, fish markets and palaces, oozing an atmosphere comparable to no other place. Once you know the well-known tourist spots, leave them and just walk randomly for hours to discover the city's true face.
